Can The Movie Top The Game?

The boys of BlueTights.net have a trailer for the new Superman Mo...Video Game. I know, this is exactly why I started this blog, to not show you all the crappy news items that surround exciting movies: the changes to the background on a movie website, the tie in with Motorolla so you can watch trailers on your phone, the Burger King glass designs and the soap opra regular that is playing a waiter in Fantastic Four 2. This stuff is the filler that web crawlers like myself see everyday on movie sites and unless it's really funny or shockingly bad, you never have to hear about it.

But this game trailer for "Superman Returns: The Video Game" is so fun and so cool, that I think Brian Singer better watch out! Right now, I'd rather watch the game!! Supes is fighting a giant Metallo robot! I love the way that Supes looks at the robot in disgust, right before he chases after giant missile that Metallo fires out of his arm. Its the incredible scale here that makes this thing rock! Tiny little Supes, big honking robot. Since the game is only inspired by the movie, chances are that our metallic pal isn't going to be hanging with Kevin Spacey any time soon.... Trailer is HERE!

The Videogamefrom EA made from XBOX 360 in-game assets.

Witness Superman™ using his super powers to save Metropolis from Metallo, one of many classic super villains in Superman Returns™: The Videogame.

Inspired by the upcoming Warner Bros. Pictures feature film and more than 60 years of DC Comics lore, the game creates the first multi-dimensional open-world super hero experience.
As the Man of Steel™, you hone your unworldly super powers such as Flight, X-Ray Vision, Heat Vision, Super Hearing, Super Strength, Super Speed, and Super Breath to fight villains only Superman can defeat.

Revolutionary new flight mechanics that give you full command of your aerial maneuvers. Explore and protect the truly living city of Metropolis, which is not only expansive (with 80 sq miles and more than 9,000 buildings), but also changes dynamically based on how you play the game: citizens run away in terror from newly erupting danger and exit their cars to cheer and snap photos as you fly overhead. Experience what it’s like to be Superman like never before with Superman Returns: The Videogame.
